The week begins as a prelude to the celestial happenings at the end of the week. Monday through Wednesday, the Sun and Venus hook up to shine a light upon our relationships and what we value in life. What has truly been the motivation behind our ambitions, actions or decisions? Is it our spouse/significant other? Our children? Our need to prove something? Our own ego? How timely that it's a new year, into a new decade, that we're urged to get our priorities straight!

Both the Sun and Venus align optimistically with Uranus. Be awakened to what has become the norm but no longer satisfies the present version of the self. These alignments give us the chance to make the changes we long for or that are necessary, no matter how radical or unconventional the approach may be. The Eclipsed New Moon later in the week reinforces this energy and urging for renewals. We will have this eclipse's support for the next six months.

Before the New Moon, Saturn in Libra changes directions and retrogrades until May 30, 2010. Our focus turn inward for reflection and review, especially highlighting our relationships and commitment to others. Together with what began early in the week between the Sun, Venus and Uranus plus Saturn's direction change and the Eclipsed New Moon's influence, it is an ideal time to truly seek within in an effort to improve our lives and our ties with one another.

On the same day as the New Moon, Mercury also changes directions and begins moving forward again. The weekend may prove to have some obstacles. Make allowances for delays and miscommunication, as Mercury gets acclimated back into his own speed.

By Sunday, Jupiter leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces, a sign he has not visited since 1998. The planet of luck and expansiveness in the compassionate, intuitive sign of Pisces. Until early June, we're more keen to the energies of a “higher power” at work, have a greater sense of awareness in our humanity and interconnectivity, and may find that fortune blesses our charitable efforts.

ARIES ~ It's time to really think about the future and make some solid plans toward achieving longterm goals, as the solar eclipse illuminates upon their importance. Take special attention on ideas that are unique, unconventional even if far-fetched. Jot them down to reference later. Saturn's retrograde in your relationships house might give way to tension in the marriage or business partnerships. In your interactions and decision-making, consider there are elements involved or facts that may still be unknown to you.

TAURUS ~ You may be getting restless or even unsatisfied with how comfortable you've been. You aspire for something different yet are pulled back in to your comfortable and familiar state. Entertain your deviant thoughts this week. There's no harm in envisioning possibilities or an alternate way of living. No final decisions or life-altering actions need to taken this week. Don't hold yourself back this week. Soar, in your mind's eye. If you find yourself inclined, share these thoughts with trusted friends. Those in a long distance relationship might be seeking “guarantees” within the relationship.

GEMINI ~ Jupiter's move to Pisces benefits career and longterm goals. The solar eclipse is urging you to make some serious changes though. There's something or things that needs to be purged, cleansed, dropped completely from your life. This may be something first touched on last July or may be something you've been working on since then. The next six months requires action from you. Elimination before transformation.

CANCER ~ The solar eclipse shines its light in your partnerships house, urging you to find the balance between your relationship with yourself and your significant other, business partner or other committed relationships. Efforts in the past six months may have been more focused on the self and its goals. The next six months asks you to consider extending efforts to include another/others. There is a balance, a common ground. Think outside the box. Single Cancerians seeking to no longer be single might find the next six months beneficial in finding a mate.

LEO ~ Work may be a focus this week, especially with the solar eclipse occurring in your house of work and health. Superiors may demand more of your commitment or perhaps an unexpected change in your role/responsibilities. Saturn and Mercury changing directions may affect your ability to communicate with more difficulty so, make sure you understand what is actually being conveyed. Alternatively, ensure that what you are communicating is also being interpreted accordingly.

VIRGO ~ Saturn retrograde in your money house continues to school you on how to live within your means. Ouch! On the brighter side, single Virgos who don't want to be single anymore might find the next six months as the solar eclipse and Jupiter beams out light and blessings in your love and relationships house. Single or not, however, relationships get a work out this week so, remember to envision the bigger picture and don't get stuck in the details when faced with deciding upon situations.

LIBRA ~ As if Saturn in your sign wasn't difficult enough, for the next few months you're forced to seek within to see all your different sides – the good, bad and ugly. It's time to grow up, take stock and be accountable. The eclipsed new moon gives Saturn's crusade more concentrated direction, as the moon sheds light on your private life/inner drives. Family remain a focus as four planets stimulate your house of home and hearth.

SCORPIO ~ Thinking longterm? Well, this is a good week for it with the solar eclipse happening in your house of thought, along with Mercury finally moving direct again. Jupiter grants his bounty in the part of your chart governing love, romance, children and creative projects until early June. Saturn retrogrades in the house of your subconscious. What are your dreams telling you? Pay extra attention to them in these next months.

SAGITTARIUS ~ Your ruler, Jupiter, changes signs this week and bestows his blessings upon your house of home and hearth in the months ahead. Family relations and issues may be smoother. If you're interested in buying a home or moving into a bigger apartment, the first half of the year may be an ideal time to move on these plans. The solar eclipse in your money house also opens up opportunities for increasing income between now and the next six months. However, you may be required to give up some things you've been accustomed to in order to make room for what's to come.

CAPRICORN ~ Determine what current priorities are. Are those in line with the life you're leading now? What and where might the adjustments be required? With Saturn stimulating your career/future goals house and Jupiter entering your house of thought, this is prime time for evaluating or re-evaluating longterm plans. Allow the solar eclipse in your sign to light the way.

AQUARIUS ~ Jupiter leaves your sign and enters your income house. In the months ahead, be open and aware to opportunities for increasing your material worth. If you are lucid while you dream, try to pay attention to your dreams, especially with the solar eclipse occurring in the house of your subconscious. Hidden answers or clarity you seek in your waking world may be revealed in your dreaming world.

PISCES ~ Don't be surprise if impulse to cut off ties and start off with a clean slate feels overwhelming this week. Saturn in your house of endings and transformation along with the solar eclipse and the focus on relationships (of all types – intimate, platonic, business) this week may be taking a toll. No need to take any rash actions, however. Endings and renewals will come in due time. All that's required of you is your awareness, resolve and readiness for when the time comes.
